Who we are
How we can help
Project work
We’re happy to discuss supporting you with most writer tasks and project types
Our experience is most extensive for:
- manuscripts (including submissions to high-tier journals and simultaneous publication), congress submissions and presentations, and associated training materials for internal use
- publication plans, lexicons, scientific communication platforms, article/study summaries, and gap analyses.
Some of our other experience includes:
- materials to support investigator meetings
- MSL slide decks
- medical education, including e-learning
- health policy (e.g. white papers, policy reports, consensus recommendations)
- leading bespoke research through the design, analysis, and interpretation of data-driven projects in Excel, VBA, and/or R (e.g. to inform company-level strategy for publication planning, simultaneous publication, and authorship practices).
We’re also generally happy to liaise directly with clients and authors and to take on management of the projects.
Mentoring & training for medical writers
We help writers of all levels develop their skills and thrive in medical communications
We are passionate about:
- the value of critical thinking, accuracy, and coherent 'storytelling'
- the importance of promoting a growth mindset, especially relating to reviewer comments
- scenario-based approaches
- tailoring learning methods to learners and the skills on which they are working (e.g. flipped learning, 1:1 feedback, small-group virtual workshops)
- creating a safe space for learners and engaging them with a conversational and upbeat style.
We draw on over 40 years of collective experience in creating content and providing feedback to writers of all levels. We also draw on our experience in agency-based learning and development roles and our qualifications (which include Certified Medical Publication Professional™ and Organisational L&D Assoc Dip, CIPD).
Skills assessments for delivery-focussed roles
We have extensive experience in using skills assessments for recruitment (e.g. writing tests)
This means:
- creating and evolving exercises that differentiate by both process and outcome, especially in the large-language-model era
- helping hiring managers identify candidates with potential
- developing metrics from the assessment process to inform business decisions
- reviewing candidates' work.
